New Kids on the Block 2024

Meeting Danny Wood (eeek!!!)...

Without disclosing my actual age, I can openly share that when I was a young girl, I had the BIGGEST crush on Danny Wood! I loved the New Kids on the Block and remember like it was yesterday that a good report card got me their doll figure stage, that a completed chore list rewarded me with the latest issue of Tiger Beat magazine. Those truly were the days and those days were as magical as many years later, where the lights dimmed, applause went wild and they appeared, belting out a catchy song! I was blessed to attend their shows in Tampa, Florida and Columbus, Maryland. The shows did NOT disappoint in the least!!

In Tampa, I missed the meet and greet due to weather and traffic, both of which sucked! Still, I was so excited to be able to share the same stage as the guys for the first few songs of the tour!! Well, the rain surely didn't play around that night and the second opportunity for a meet and greet came and went just as the lightning and thunder did that evening.

However...HOWEVER....where I happened to be standing listening to other women giggle and sing, there stood Danny Wood!! Guys- DANNY WOOD WAS THISCLOSE to me! A wonderful girl encouraged me to talk to him and if you know me and my pick up lines, I surely thought I'd ask him if he liked bread or worse...air. Long story short, I did talk with him and he even took a photo of us with my phone! What a role reverse, hahaha!

I am DETERMINED to have a press pass approval one of these days for a New Kids on the Block concert, but for now, my phone did a pretty darn good job capturing such a wonderful unlock of memories and happiness! I write this in daydream mode after I just paid my $300 electric bill. #adulting
